The Multi-Generational Workplace – Leading Across The Generations

This presentation focuses on bridging the widening generational gaps within today’s workplace. Some specific suggestions for motivating people and creating a cohesive team are provided as well as some discussion on millennials and the emerging Generation Z. Participants will view a short, witty video contrasting boomers and millennials as well as complete a quick quiz to help provide personal insight.


Paul Pagano is a long-time employee of the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, serving in various leadership roles including section chief, bureau chief, and assistant director. Very recently, Paul was appointed Chief of Administrative Services at the Office of Agricultural Law Enforcement, serving as the leading civilian within the agency.

Paul is a 2015 CPM graduate, a 2014 graduate of the department’s Legacy Leadership Program, a U.S. Navy veteran, and a Certified Fraud Examiner. He holds a master’s degree in administration, a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice administration, and is a Certified Fraud Examiner.

Paul has been exploring the issues of generational leadership with other leaders since 2016 when the department began including this important topic in its Constructing Leaders program.
