Lynn Chisholm is Instructional Faculty for the Certified Public Manager program at the Center for Public Management at Florida State University. She was an adjunct instructor for 9 years and has been full-time faculty for 5 years, with a special interest in career development, succession planning, recruitment and retention.
Lynn has been in higher education for 20+ years, having been clinical faculty at FSU, Clinic Director at UGA, Internship and Prior Learning Assessment Coordinator at Polk State College, and Director of Internships and Career Readiness at USF-Tampa. Lynn has also been an independent consultant in support of internship and career readiness programming for Polk State College and Florida International University. She dabbled as a freelance illustrator prior to having children and still enjoys drawing and painting.
Lynn’s focus has been on career and professional development for the past 12 years. In 2018, she and her team won statewide recognition for their Career Readiness Badging Program at FLACE (Association of Colleges and Employers), the award for Best Innovation at SoACE, and were a top 3 finalist for their work at NACE. She also worked in workforce and organization development for 12 years at the City of Lakeland and enjoyed a career as a Speech-Language Pathologist for 20 years.
Lynn earned the Certified Public Manager designation in 2009, her master’s degree at Boston University, and her bachelor’s degree at UCF. She has two wonderful adult children, 2 cats and a dog.
