Kristen Solomon

Kristen Solomon is the Director of Operations for the Guardian ad Litem Office.
As Director of Operations, Mrs. Solomon supports and oversees the operations of the Guardian ad Litem Office statewide. The Office is responsible for representing children who have been abused, abandoned, and neglected in the dependency court system. She is responsible for developing and implementing operational policies and procedures, examining current processes, and recommending improvements, supervising, and providing direction to Circuit and Regional Directors, and assisting the Executive Director carry out the purposes and functions of the Office in accordance with state and federal law.
Prior to her role as Director of Operations, Mrs. Solomon served the Guardian ad Litem Office as the Southern Regional Director (2015-2020). Her other roles include Circuit Director (2012-2015), Managing Attorney (2010-2012) and GAL Attorney (2008-2010) in the 15th Judicial Circuit. She began her career with the Office as a volunteer Guardian ad Litem while attending law school.
Mrs. Solomon holds undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Criminology from the University of Florida and a Juris Doctorate from Florida Coastal School of Law. She has been a member of the Florida Bar since 2008. Mrs. Solomon is the Vice Chair of the Legal Needs of Children Committee of the Florida Bar, is a member of the Supreme Court’s Steering Committee on Families and Children in the Court and is a member of the Dependency Court Improvement Panel which reports to the Steering Committee. She has previously served on the Florida Bar Juvenile Rules Committee and as a member of the 15th Judicial Circuit’s Grievance Committee “A”. In 2018, Mrs. Solomon became a Certified Public Manager after graduating from the CPM Program which is administered by the Florida Center for Public Management at Florida State University.
