#iAmCPM: Implementing CPM Best Practices in a Non-CPM Environment
CPM and transformational leadership concepts have been around for decades. However, many organizations have not embraced either set of concepts, nor any proven leadership development practices that create win-win situations for all team members. This session will explore ways for CPM graduates to use their new-found knowledge to steadily transform their organizations culture into environments where leaders are identified, made, sustained and eagerly followed.
Cecka Rose Green, CPM, was appointed inaugural Executive Director for the Children’s Services Council of Leon County (CSC Leon County) in December 2021. In this role, she is the official representative of the CSC Leon, responsible for providing strategic leadership by working with the Governing Council to establish long-range goals, strategies, plans and policies to improve the lives and outcomes of children, youth and families in Leon County, Florida. Additionally, she directs the budget, and implements and manages the activities and functions of the Council pursuant to its mission and consistent with its directions and delegations. She attended Florida A&M University, majoring in English, was a Presidential Scholar, a university cheerleader, and pledged Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
Among other honors, she’s a “FAMU NAA Distinguished Alumni”; HBCU Digest’s 2015 “Alumna of the Year”; and is a recipient of the Carrie P. Meek Servant-Leader Award from Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Florida and the Bahamas. In March 2020, Cecka was selected as one of Tallahassee’s “25 Women You Need To Know” by the Tallahassee Democrat newspaper and was enshrined into the Gallery of Distinction for the FAMU College of Social Science, Arts and Humanities (CSSAH) in 2022. She completed her CPM designation in July 2015.
